One mitten body done, time to cut on the red line.
Ok, more like putting the stitches on needles and pulling on the red rip cord.
The thumb is free!

Comments working now. The mittens are lovely. Knitting the stitches on waste yarn--That's what I've done before for mittens. I like that it leaves you with live stitches top and bottom. I wonder why the glove pattern I'm using has me put the stitches on waste yarn then cast on new stitches. That means I have to pick up more stitches for the thumb.
Is that your house is the sidebar? It's a great picture of it looking snowy and pretty.
